The Bouddi Peninsula as a location for a Central Coast holiday has long been a secret of locals and weekenders. The region was once labeled ‘the Manly of Brisbane Waters’. Located on the northern coastline of Broken Bay opposite Barrenjoey headland, on a clear day it’s close enough to the hustle and bustle of Sydney to see the skyscrapers of the city, yet feels a million miles away.
The tiny villages of Killcare, Pretty Beach, Wagstaffe and MacMasters are enveloped by Bouddi National Park, a stunning coastal reserve made up of sandstone escarpments and plateaus, ocean beaches and the tidal inlet of Brisbane Waters. Despite being small in size, there’s a thriving art scene and lots of tasty food to enjoy.
Across the way in Brisbane Water National Park you’ll find upmarket Pearl Beach and the quaint fishing village of Patonga.
Sydney Helicopters
The Bouddi Peninsular and Hawkesbury region is only a 10 to 15 minute flight from Sydney via helicopter.
Sydney Seaplanes
Take a scenic seaplane flight from Rose Bay wharf over the northern beaches and land either on the Hawkesbury or Brisbane Waters.
